Slipping Away

i looked out the window last night
and the sun was down
i turn on some music to end my day
i play that familiar song
and i lose myself in that song
so i close my eyes and i slip away

and i get that special feeling
when i see him in my dreams
and that old song plays
and i sleep tight
sleep easy
sleep happy
till i wake up

So many people have come and gone
they faces fade over time
and they just become a blur
yet i still recall as i wonder on
just as clear as the sun

i can't that special feeling
whenever i see him in my dreams
it just makes me so happy
to see him smile
but its just a dream
and i wake up every time
he walks away

when im tired, feeling sad
and thinking bad
i hide in my music
and try to forget my day
and i dream of the boy i like
i close my eyes
and he keeps slipping away
